Ralph Amitrano, Jr.

Ralph Amitrano, Jr., 75, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Ralph was born on April 18, 1947 in New York, New York and raised in Queens, New York by his late parents, Ralph Amitrano, Sr. and Jennie (Caruso) Amitrano. Along with his parents, Ralph is reunited in passing with his brothers, Frank Calabrese, Matthew Amitrano and Raymond Amitrano; and sister Phyllis Doyle. 

Ralph worked in NYC for over 35 years in financial securities clearance processing at DTCC. He and his wife Eleanor relocated to Long Island in 1979 where they raised their family until his well-deserved relocation to Murrells Inlet, SC in 2011. In SC, Ralph could be found soaking up the sun on the fairways. He always enjoyed a good game of golf with his friends, bowling, dining out, vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC, and the time spent walking his beloved dog, Daisy. Above all else, Ralph loved his family with his whole heart. He will be forever missed.

Left to cherish Ralph’s memory are his beloved wife of over 50 years, Eleanor (Madden) Amitrano of Murrells Inlet; their children, Joseph Amitrano and wife, Jennie of Florida, Tara Pan and husband, Steven of New York and Gina Zanoni and husband, Steven also of New York; grandchildren, Julianna & Cassandra Amitrano, Lola Pan, and Kyle & Kate Zanoni; sister, Beverly Calabrese of New Jersey; fur-baby, Daisy; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many supportive friends and neighbors both locally and in New York.

A Celebration of Life for Ralph will take place on Saturday, April 15th, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Moloney’s Funeral Home, 825 Main Street, Holbrook, NY 11741. There will be a reception hosted by his family in Ronkonkoma, NY following the service (details to be announced).
