Philip William Donahue, 87, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, formerly of East Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026.
Born on April 8, 1939, in Hartford, Connecticut, Phil was the beloved son of the late Richard and Helen (Hickey) Donahue.
Phil enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He loved playing golf, spending time with dogs, and making memories with family and friends. His kind heart, easygoing nature, and love for animals will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Donahue, and his wife, Judith, of East Hartford, Connecticut, along with their children, Mark, Rob, Mary Leah, and Jennifer. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis Donahue, Dennis's daughter, Janet, and her son, John; his former wife, Sandra; his daughter, Tracy Donahue, Jay Kobles of Murrells Inlet; his son, Brian Donahue and his family of Hawaii. Grandchildren Rayne, August and Winter; Phil also leaves behind his beloved dog, Princess, who brought him great companionship and joy.
Family and friends will cherish the memories they shared with Phil and will remember him for his love of family, and his passion for golf.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to your local Humane Society or animal rescue organization in Phil's memory.
