Peggy Jo Ward

Peggy Jo Ward, 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born October 22, 1943, in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Hollis Sigsby Ward and Mary Catherine Jennerette Ward.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jeff Delgado; and a brother, James “Siggy” Ward.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Tanner and her husband, Paul of Myrtle Beach, SC; and one granddaughter, Grace Tanner of Myrtle Beach.

Peggy worked for many years at Bennetts Calabash Seafood, Hoskins Restaurant and The Biscuit Shack where her customers became lifelong friends. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

There are no formal services planned.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Peggy’s name to Crescent Hospice, 1516 E Hwy 501 Suite 101 Conway, SC 29526. A special thank you to Patti, Jan, Stacey and John from Crescent Hospice for your support and care.
