Paulette Mayer
June 11, 1946 – March 10, 2026
Paulette was born in Virginia, where her life of faith and purpose first took root. She later raised her family in Indiana, creating a home grounded in love, stability, and encouragement. She eventually moved to North Carolina, where her entrepreneurial spirit flourished. For 20 years, she owned and operated her own business, leading with a servant’s heart. In retirement, she settled near the coast of South Carolina, enjoying time with family and friends. She especially delighted in traveling, making meaningful memories along the way, and appreciating life’s simple moments.
Family was Paulette’s greatest joy. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she poured herself into loving and supporting them. As Nana, she was always present—at games, celebrations, milestones, trips, and in the quiet, everyday moments that mattered most to those she loved. She was truly one of a kind.
Her faith was quietly lived and revealed more through her actions than her words. She was deeply committed to BSF and other Bible studies, serving faithfully wherever she was needed. Paulette had a gift for recognizing when someone needed encouragement or support, offering it with sincerity and grace. Never seeking recognition, her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Paulette is survived by her son, Paul Mayer (Cindy) of Mississippi; her daughter, Corinna Miller (Eddie) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Addison, Case, McKenzie (Sam), and Rece; her brother, Paul; her sister, Marcia; and many other cherished family members and countless dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, Tom, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Having lived her life fully and faithfully between the dash, Paulette has been welcomed home by her Savior and now rejoices in Heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In her memory, the family invites you to support a nonprofit close to your heart.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
