Patricia "Patty" Ann (Owens) Arena

Myrtle Beach, SC- Patricia “Patty” Ann Arena, age 76 of Osprey Cove passed away peacefully on Friday March 20, 2020 at Embrace Hospice House of the Grand Strand in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Cummings Owens.  Patty was the owner and operator of Diversified Graphic Inc. for 34 years and had been the first woman to own a sign company in the Rochester, NY area.  She also was the first woman in the Local Union 86 Electrical Workers and Local Painters Union.  Patty had also been a member of the executive committee of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce.  After retiring to the Myrtle Beach area, she had been on the board of Osprey Cove Homeowners Assoc.  She was an avid golfer and was an active member of Low Country Community Church, which she called “her second family”.  Patty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Nippy Arena of twenty years. 

Surviving are several brothers and sisters, George Rossiter, Tom Rossiter (Donna), Sandra Deemus, Joyce Bass (Joe), Donna Campbell, Debbie and Joanne; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Tina and Patty’s special dog, Cosmo. 

A celebration of Patty’s life was celebrated earlier in the year. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
