Oliver Gary Pierce

Oliver Gary Pierce, 80, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday December 10, 2025 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on April 24, 1945 in Summerville, South Carolina to the late Oliver Henry Pierce and Henrietta Elizabeth Busch Pierce.

Along with his parents, Gary is reunited is passing with his daughter, Tara Michelle Pierce; son, Robert Gary Pierce; and brother, Larry Pierce.

Gary was a hardworking man who diligently provided for his family. He was a skilled electrical contractor with a mind built for problem solving. His skills where highly respected and often sought after. When Gary wasn’t working, he could be found enjoying time spent making memories with his family and friends. Gary loved to have a good time and was often the life of the party. Above all else, Gary loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Gary’s memory are his adoring wife, Leveta Ammons Pierce of the home; son, Jonathon Matthew and wife, Raechelle of Waialua, HI; granddaughter, Madeline Victoria Pierce; brothers, Wayne Pierce and wife Norma of Port Royal, SC, Roland Pierce and wife Joyce of Oklahoma City, OK & Clay Pierce and wife Stacy of Sapulpa, OK; sister, Kathy Sherrill and husband, Buddy of Tulsa, OK; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Monday December 15, 2025 at 11:00AM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
