Nicky Rano, III.

Nicholas "Nicky" Michael Rano, III, 38 of Surfside, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2025 at South Strand Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1987 in Smithtown, New York, son of Nicholas Michael Rano, Jr. and Doreen Ann Baxter (Maurice).

Nicky is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Lexi Rano of Surfside, and Mackenzie Rano of Tiffin, Ohio; twin sisters, Maureen and Michelle of Hauppauge, NY; two brothers, Kris and Pat of SC; niece, Renee of Hauppauge, NY; nephew, Mike of Hauppauge, NY and many extended family members.

Nicky was a hardworking man who loved his job as a concrete mason. In his free time, he was an avid sports fanatic and was a huge NY Jets fan. He found peace being with his friends and having a good time. As he would say, "I’m here for a good time, not a long time." Above all, he loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm Friday, September 19, 2025 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old King Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday prior to the prayer service from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
