Nelson Chism Obituary

Nelson Edward Chism, 60, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2020 at his home in Holden Beach, North Carolina. He was born on October 21, 1959 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nelson was a genuinely hard working man who loved to tinker with his many projects. He was a skilled general contractor who loved working with his hands and building cars. In his free time, Nelson enjoyed fishing and making memories with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Left cherish Nelson’s memory are his loving daughter, Natalie Inez Chism (Noah Jones) of Grover, NC; son, Nicholas Chism of Supply, NC; his father, Billy Ray Chism and his wife, Bobbie Jean; his adoring grandchildren, Noelle, William, Arlo, Nolyn & Oaklyn; brother, Johnny Chism of Arkansas; sister, Beth; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Nelson is preceded in passing by wife of 30 years, Nannette Chism; and his mother, Donna Sue Bird.

A Celebration of Nelson’s life will be held privately.
