Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our beloved sister, Nancy Vecchio Perreira, on June 28, 2025.
Born in Yonkers, New York on December 17, 1955, Nancy was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rita (DiFrancesco) Vecchio. Along with her parents, she is reunited in passing with her husband Butch and brother Nick. Nancy is survived by her brother Vincent Vecchio, sisters MaryJane DeLorenzo and Patricia Young, as well as sisters-in-law Lynn Vecchio, Dianne Vecchio, Sharon Perreira, Jackie Perreira-Skillman and Janette Sammon.
Nancy was a creative, vibrant, and fun-loving soul who could brighten a room and make anyone laugh. She had a passion for Yankees baseball, was a devoted fan of John Lennon and the Beatles, and loved her cats as her children (Rocky, Derek Jeter, and Christmas). Nancy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, and creating gifts of embroidery, needlepoint or crochet. To her, laughter was life, along with a cold beer or a well-made Manhattan.
She will be deeply missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on July 17, 2025, beginning at 1:30pm.
