Monique Felicia Mantell

Monique Felicia Mantell, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 27, 2022 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on March 9, 1983 in Silver Springs, Maryland.

Monique was a well-educated woman with heart of gold. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and was a skilled accountant for many years. In her free time, Monique loved the freedom of the outdoors. She enjoyed kayaking, camping, visiting the beach and was a proud member of the Annapolis Maryland Crew Team.  Monique also appreciated sports, especially lacrosse- and was a big fan of the band, “Wide Spread Panic.” She enjoyed live music, concerts and making memories with friends. Monique had an infectious smile and made friends easily. Above all else, Monique loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her sparkling personality and the love she had for her family.

Left to cherish Monique’s memory are her two adoring children, Alexander Stephen Mantell & Madeline Sydney Mantell Wells; her loving parents, Stephen & Candy Mantell of Murrells Inlet; sister, Danielle Candida Mantell and her daughter, Emma Candida Mantell; paternal grandparents, Sydney & Phyllis Mantell; uncles, Gary & Phillip; as well as multiple cousins in the United States and England; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends.

Monique is reunited in passing with her maternal grandparents, Felix & Doris Sinicrope and two Uncles.

A Celebration of Monique’s life will be held on Friday June 3, 2022 at 3:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
