Mitchell Glenn Cooper, 72, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Pruitt Healthcare in Conway. He was born on May 11, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late, Herbert Price Cooper and Norine Guyton-Taylor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Phil Cooper, Landy Cooper and Stevie Cooper; and by his son-in-law, Dr. Rodney Arnold.
Mitchell is survived by his partner of 24 years, Carol Lynn Lesley of Myrtle Beach, SC; four children, Travis Cooper, (spouse Danielle), Michelle Cooper- Arnold, Melissa Cooper, and Amber Brendlen.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jourdan, Jeffery, McKinley, Anna, TJ, and Kaylee; and one great-grandchild, Teigan.
He leaves behind his brother, Charles "PeeWee" Cooper (spouse, Bonnie); two sisters, Debbie Cooper, (spouse, Holly), and Tammy Stevens, (spouse, Randy). He is also remembered by his former wife, Sandra Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mitchell loved joking around and enjoying life. He was a very simple man who appreciated the little things. He loved his family and his friends deeply. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and driving down to the river landings each morning. He was truly a man of simple life, easygoing, fun-loving, and always ready with a smile or a joke.
A funeral service in Mitchell's honor will be held at 11:00am Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1000 SC-544, Conway, SC 29526. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home.
