Mildred Carolyn Tanner R. Covington

Mildred Carolyn Tanner R. Covington, age 76, passed away peacefully Friday April 22, 2022 at her Georgetown residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Georgetown, Mrs. Covington was the daughter of the late Don Legrant Tanner and Mildred Ilean Owens Tanner.  A member of Rosehill Baptist Church, Mrs. Covington loved playing bingo, fishing, crafting and trips to the beach with her family.  She especially enjoyed spending time and making memories with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Covington is preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss E. Covington, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Lynn Rogers; her sister, Barbara Lynn Tanner Martin and her brother, Don Anderson Tanner.

Survivors include her brother, Dan Alvin Tanner (Bonnie); sisters, Virginia Diane Tanner Mock (Harold),  Brenda Marie Tanner Oliver (Wayne), Georgetown, SC; son, Ron Alan Rogers (Nancy), Bennettsville, SC; daughter, Brandi Covington (Frank), Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Brent Alan Rogers (Gabby), Bennettsville, SC; Megan Lynn Barbee, Georgetown, SC; Tiffany Ray Odom (John) Valdosta, GA; Kimberly Glidewell (Keagan), Rockingham, NC; Cory Odom (Michelle), Bennettsville, SC; great grandchildren, Adalyn Adams; Jeffery Adams, Jr.; Katelyn Adams, Georgetown, SC; Anna Grace Odom; Raylan Odom, Bennettsville, SC; Talen Glidwell, Rockingham, NC; Kabery Kick; John Davis; Kyler Kick; Koah Kick; Karsyn Kick; Kace Kick, Valdosta, GA; brother in law, Ray Martin; sister in law, Carol Tanner and a very special friend, Nevaeh Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday April 30, 2022 at Rosehill Baptist Church, Georgetown, SC with interment service following in the church cemetery.
