Obituary

Michelle “Shelly” Elaine Hooker, 55, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Utah, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born July 27, 1966 in Claremont, New Hampshire, daughter of Raymond L. Ferland and Judith Ferland.

In addition to her parents of Murrells Inlet she is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Kevin Hooker of Murrells Inlet; two sons, Adam Hooker and Jacob Hooker (Kourtney) both of Washington Terrace, Utah; one sister, Debbie of Florida; many extended family members; and her beloved dog, Daisy.

Shelly enjoyed many things in life, her favorites were bowling, arts and crafts, her dogs; and above all spending time with her family and friends. She had one of the biggest hearts and was always willing to offer a helping hand. That showed most when she and her husband recently moved from Utah to Murrells Inlet to help take care of her parents.

A celebration of life will be held 4:00pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will receive friends on hour prior to service time from 3:00-4:00pm and immediately following the service. 

A celebration of Shelly’s life will be held in Utah at a later date, once arrangements are finalized.

The family has requested that memorial donations in Shelly’s name be made to, the American Brain Tumor Association at, www.abta.org
