Michael "Iron Mike" Thomas Deegan

Michael "Iron Mike" Thomas Deegan, 62, of Pawleys Island passed away on February 6, 2020 at Tidelands Hospital in Georgetown. Michael was born June 17, 1957 in Myrtle Beach, a son to the late Thomas Deegan and Minerva Marge Deegan. Michael was preceded in death by his father Thomas.

In life, Michael worked as a chef. He is survived by a loving family, including his devoted wife DeEtta Deegan of Pawleys Island, his mother Minerva Deegan of Myrtle Beach, his son Matthew Michael Deegan (Katie) of York, SC and his brother George Deegan (Armillas) of Myrtle Beach.

Michael’s family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday, February 9 from 2 – 4 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet. In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that memorial donations be made in Michael’s honor to the Dementia Society of America by mail to PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901, or online at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
