Michael Levern Tisdale

Michael Levern Tisdale, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 2, 2020 in Andrews, South Carolina. He was born on May 28, 1976 in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Michael was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He was skilled in many trades and he loved to tinker with his projects around the house. In his free time, Michael loved bon fires and grilling with friends. He was a Clemson Tiger fan who would proudly brag that they had more trophies than the Carolina Gamecocks. Michael was also a faithful man who found peace in the pews at church and had a strong love for our Lord. Above all else, Michael loved his family with his whole heart, especially his sons and his nieces & nephews. He will be deeply missed but remembered for his quick wit, bright smile and vibrant personality.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his adoring twin boys, Leland Mick Tisdale & Brendan Michael Tisdale; his mother Elaine Wilson and her husband, Oscar of Andrews; the mother of his children, Ashley Rahn of Ladson, SC; sisters, Melissa Moore and her husband, Jay of Andrews & Lindsey Poston and her husband, Linwood of Hemingway, SC; brother, Greg Wilson and his wife, Hope of NC; nieces and nephews, Ranlyn, Gage, Chason, Gavin, Natalie, Lucas, & Brody; great-nephew, Jimmy; his best friend, Benjie; as well as a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Michael is reunited in death with his father, Leland “Mick” Tisdale; paternal grandparents, Leland & Ruby Tisdale; and his maternal grandparents, Sal & Mary Byron.

A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 11:00am at Fireside Ministries, 5692 S. Fraser St,  Georgetown, SC. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM until the time of service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a college fund through South State Bank for the boys. That information will be posted when available.
