It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Revette, a devoted husband, proud father, beloved grandfather and loyal uncle who passed away peacefully on October 2 at the age of 70.
Born in Newark, NJ Michael lived a life filled with purpose and laughter and deep devotion to his family and community. Michael enjoyed spending time with family which included many family vacations, playing board games and cards, watching Star Trek and collecting comics. He was passionate about softball and bowling and spent countless hours sharing stories and building lasting friendships. Though what truly set him apart was his love for coaching. Whether he was guiding athletes on or off the field he left a lasting impression on all. He spent many hours volunteering and giving his time on Park Road where he built a field for the girls in the community.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie, his children Danielle Mautone (husband Michael Mautone), Michael Revette (wife Bridget Revette) and Stephen Revette and his loving grandchildren Kayla and Gabby Mautone who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his beloved brother, David Revette, his mother in law, Angelina Ricci, many nieces, and nephews, along with brothers and sister in laws. Also, missing him are his faithful grand pups that were constant companions and brought him immense joy.
He is predeceased by his mother and father Jean and Danny Luongo and his sisters Helen Walsh and Sheila Snyder. Also, by his beloved grandson Wyatt Michael Revette whom he deeply loved.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, October 17th at 1 pm at Burroughs Funeral Home located at 3558 Old Kings Highway Murrells Inlet. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the time of service from 12 PM to 1 PM.
