Michael Edwin Carey, age 75 passed away on November 28th at his home in Murrells Inlet SC.
“Mike” was born in Kansas City, KS on October 14th 1947 to Jesse and Helen Stamey Carey. He lived most of his life in Gastonia, NC and Clover, SC.
He was survived by his wife of 54 years, Jen Carey as well as two children, Michelle Carey of Gastonia and Wendy Pait and husband, Billy of Murrells Inlet. He had 5 grandchildren. Also, his older brother Jack Carey and sister in law Cecelia Carey. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Tink Carey.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood carving. He was a true joy to everyone that ever knew him.
There will be a celebration of life at 12:00PM on Sunday December 4, 2022 at the Gathering Community Church, 1504 Hwy 17 N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
