Melinda "Moe" S. Polzer

Melinda “Moe” S. Polzer, 45, passed away after a valiant battle on Friday April 30, 2021 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on August 12, 1975 in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Moe was an exceptional young woman with a heart of gold. Her compassion for others lead her to be a beacon of hope and acceptance amongst her friends. Moe would gladly offer the shirt from her back to anyone in need. Her sparkling personality and quick wit sculpted her to be a well-known and respected bar tender in the Myrtle Beach area for many years. In her free time, Moe relished time spent with her family and volunteering at the Grand Strand Humane Society. Moe generously would donate her birthday gifts to the shelter and the animals in need. Moe will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her sense of humor, bright smile and love for her family.

Left to cherish Moe’s memory are her adoring husband, with whom they would’ve celebrated 12 years of marriage in October, John Frank Polzer of Murrells Inlet; mother, Shela Vermillion of Murrells Inlet; father, Danny Lee Traylor of Murrells Inlet; her stepchildren, Kevin Polzer and wife, Grazia and their son, Jaxson & Ashley Polzer and her daughter, Anaiyah Irving; sister, Michelle Traylor of Charlotte, NC; brother, Maddoxx Vermillion of Murrells Inlet; step- brother, Michael Vermillion; step- sister, Robin Vermillion; beloved furbaby, Dixie Sue; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one grandmother and aunts and uncles; as well as a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

The family will gather in celebration of Moe’s life on Friday May 7, 2021 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
