Mary Joan Brewer

Mary Joan Brewer, 84, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Thursday July 2, 2020 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on December 7, 1935 in Glen Burnie, Maryland to the late George William & Cornelia “Lena” Elizabeth (Jones) Brewer.

Joan was a faithful woman who found peace walking on the beach. Above all else, Joan loved her family with her whole heart. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She will be deeply missed and remembered for the amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend she was.

Left to cherish Joan’s memory are her beloved children, Lisa D. Bell of Murrells Inlet, Janet D. Wall and her husband, Frasier, III of Murrells Inlet, Joseph W. Dobinski and his wife, Julie of Fernandina Beach, FL, Susan D Wallace of Murrells Inlet, & Amy Causey Webb and her husband Chad of Myrtle Beach; her adoring grandchildren, Frasier “Chip” Wall, IV and his wife, Ansley, Austin Causey, Brandon Wallace, Michael Dobinski, Caroline Dobinski, William Wallace & Carter Wallace; great-grandson, Frasier “Quinn” Wall, V; sister Betty Jane McCullough and her husband, Jimmy of Stevensville, MD; her dear friend, Sharon Marsden; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held privately.

The family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt appreciation, the kindness care and support extended to them and to Joan by her dedicated team of long term caregivers, Sheryl Beckman & Connie Holloway. The family also wishes to recognize the compassionate care shown by Regency Hospice. May God bless you.
