Mary Ellen (Pierson) Szollosi

Mary Ellen Szollosi, 61, of Conway, SC, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Conway Medical Center on Monday, January 19, 2026. Mary was born in Massillon, OH to the late Romeo Frank and Nancy Rowe Pierson.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Thomas C. Szollosi; two sisters, Lossie Vancamp and Minnie Rohr; and a brother, Frankie Pierson.

Mary is survived by her son, Jesse Wolfe (Katie) of New Franklin, OH; two sisters, Carrol Bryan (Bill) of Akron, OH and Tammy Thur (Dave) of Barberton, OH; three grandchildren, Kylie, Kaylie and Kennedy; and a goddaughter, Kalei of Santa Monic, CA.

Mary enjoyed making people feel beautiful and started a career as a cosmetologist. Her love for serving people led her to work, and eventually retire, from the Veterans Administration.

A celebration of life will be held in Ohio at a later date.
