Martin F. Trimmer

Martin Francis Trimmer, 60, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday June 29, 2020 at his home in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. He was born on March 16, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald Francis & Ann Elizabeth (Heidloff) Trimmer.

Along with his parents, Martin is reunited in death with his son, Kyle Trimmer; and his sisters, Debbie Trimmer & Robin Kegelmayer.

Martin was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. His skill and dedication lead him be a successful, master carpenter and superintendent of Coastal Structures for many years. Martin proudly worked until his health would no longer allow him too. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren and making memories with his friends. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and brothers. Martin attended Pawleys Island Community Church. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Martin’s memory are his beloved wife of 40 years, Mrs. Marcella “Colleen” Trimmer; daughters, Kelli Michelle Trimmer-Baker and her boyfriend, L.J. Witt & Katie Marie Barr and her husband, Brian; his adoring grandchildren, Molly Baker and her boyfriend, Joey, Anna Baker and her boyfriend, Austin, Nicholas Baker, Lucille "Lucy" Baker, Tyson Barr, Landon Barr; and his soon to arrive granddaughter, Eleanor Barr; great-grandson, Bentley Vereb; brothers,  Stephen Trimmer and his wife,  Kathy, Aaron Trimmer and his wife, Pam, & David Trimmer and his wife, Debbie; brother in-law, Tim Kronk and his wife, Traci; sister in-law, Jennifer Napier and her husband John; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Martin’s life will be held on Thursday July 2, 2020 at 3:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will gather to greet friends from 1:00PM until the time of service.

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Memorials in Martin’s name may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser St., Georgetown, SC 29440.
