Marilyn Pritchard Obituary

Marilyn Joyce Pritchard, 83, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Orthodox Easter Sunday April 12, 2026 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on October 1, 1942 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to the late Leonidas C. Prince & Elizabeth Anderson Prince.

Along with her parents, Marilyn is reunited in passing with her beloved husband of over 56 years, Mr. Thomas “Tim” Frederick Pritchard, Jr.; and her sister in-law, Marge Prince.

Marilyn was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold and a zest for life. She had an unmatched eye for detail that led her to become a successful interior designer. Her skills were sought after and respected in her field. In her free time, Marilyn appreciated time spent making memories with her family and dear friends. In the summer months, she spent many days by the pool soaking up the sun and comraderies. To Marilyn, family and connections were a priority. She took pride in making bountiful meals and desserts for everyone; and she was particularly proud of her Greek heritage. In her free time, Marilyn was an avid reader and card player. Above all else, Marilyn loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her larger-than-life personality, the love she had for Friday Lunches with the Girls and her neighbors.  Above all else, the love she had for her family.

Left to cherish Marilyn’s memory are her adoring children, Tabatha L. Miliaresis and husband, Don of Hamden, CT & Thomas F. Pritchard, III  and wife, Barbara of Stamford, CT; seven grandchildren, Robert (Peggy), Andrew (Megan), Aristidi, James, Maranda, Miliaresis, Elena & Elijah Pritchard; brother, Harry Prince and his boys, Mark & Chistian Prince; sister in-law, Judith Schwartz (William); niece/ God-daughter, Traci Schwartz; cousin and sister by choice, Eleni Prince; as well as a large loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held privately in Connecticut after burial in Stamford CT.

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Marilyn’s name may be made to the Murrells Inlet Fire Dept., 3641 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
