Margaret “Marge” Lazarz, 86, formerly of Murrells Inlet, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on February 7, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, to Mel and Mary Lowe. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Edward Lazarz Jr., who preceded her in death.
Marge is lovingly remembered by her children, David (Patty) Lazarz, Mary (Richard) Plumb, Betsy (Steve) Fiel, and Dan (Deb) Lazarz; her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride; her brother, Michael (Terri) Lowe; and her in-laws, Patsy (Wally) Sienkiewicz and Ron (Peggy) Lazarz.
Marge found great happiness in reading, gardening, golf, volunteering, and traveling—especially on cruises with Eddie. She was also known as the family’s expert bargain hunter, always finding the best deals.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet, with interment to follow in the columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marge’s name to UVM McClure Miller Respite House, Colchester, VT at www.uvmhealth.org/give-back/give-to-uvm-health/give-to-home-health-hospice
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of UVM Hospital and UVM McClure Miller Respite House for the exceptional care they provided to Marge.
