Marcus G. Mishoe

Marcus G. Mishoe, 76, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was born on February 20, 1949, at his family home place in Socastee, SC, a true son of Horry County and the late Admiral Dewey Mishoe and Luttie Owens Mishoe.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by six siblings. Carlisle, Raymond, Muriel, Joyce, Ronald, and Dwight.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of fifty-three years, Kathy W. Mishoe of Myrtle Beach, SC; one son, Nicholas Mishoe and his wife, Jessica Livingston Mishoe of Greenville, SC; one granddaughter, Raelan Wilds Mishoe of Greenville, SC; a brother, Larry Mishoe and his wife, Rebecca of Warner Robins, GA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marcus proudly served in the United States Army. He owned and operated Design Enterprises in Socastee, SC for many years subcontracting for Waccamaw Landscaping. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing, roasting oysters, and working in the yard. Most of all he enjoyed spending time and being with his family.

A celebration of Marcus’ life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Church of the Resurrection, 8901 US Highway 17 Bypass South, Surfside Beach, SC 29575. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Marcus’ honor to the Church of the Resurrection.
