Madalyn E. (Beline) Young

Madalyn E. Young, 89, of Sunset Beach, North Carolina and formerly of Edison, New Jersey; passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday July 13, 2026 while at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, South Carolina. She was born on June 29, 1937 in Chase, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas William Beline & Freda Heck Beline.

Along with her parents, Madalyn is reunited in passing with her daughter, Debra DeCataldo; sisters, Delores Gable & Marie Quinter; brother, Thomas Beline; as well as several family members including many nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish Madalyn’s memory are her adoring husband of over 67 years, Mr. William “Bill” Young of the home in Sunset Beach, North Carolina; their daughter, Brenda Jordan and her husband James of Sunset Beach, NC; grandchildren, James Jordan Jr. and wife, Amy, Christopher Jordan, William DeCataldo & Nicole DeCataldo; great-grandson, Alexander DeCataldo; son in-law, Nick DeCataldo of NJ; a loving, extended family; and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Madalyn was a woman of deep faith who appreciated the simple joys of life. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew's Church in Edison, New Jersey, where her faith remained an important part of her life. After many years in New Jersey, she and Bill recently made their home in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Above all else, Madalyn loved her family with her whole heart. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved and found great happiness in the company of her friends and neighbors. She also adored her beloved cat, enjoyed attending car shows with Bill, and looked forward to worshiping with her church family. Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Madalyn’s life will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
