Mack Donald Graham

Mack Donald Graham, 83, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on October 7, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Don was born May 22, 1938 in Conway, SC, to Wylie and Roberta Skipper Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Don was self-employed for many years as the owner of several upholstery shops across the state. After retirement, he kept himself busy with a newspaper route for the Spartanburg Herald Journal. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all levels of football and college basketball. He especially loved the Spartanburg High Vikings and the Carolina Gamecocks. He possessed a quick wit, which resulted in many one-liners that those close to him will always remember. He was a great cook who taught his children early that grits, eggs, and sausage are best eaten stirred together in a bowl with tomato mixed in. When he was not watching sports, he was watching the news and could discuss pretty much any topic with willing participants. He was smart, strong-willed and fiercely independent.

Survivors include his son, Don Graham, Jr. (Denise), of Conway, SC; his daughters, Ann Graham, of Conway, SC, Karen Graham McBride (Jeff), of Spartanburg, SC, and Shanna Graham Bailey (Brian), of Rossville, GA; and his son, Mack Graham of Greenwood, SC. In addition, he was the proud grandfather of, and is survived by, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 10th at 3 pm in the Graham Family Cemetery at 5205 Hampton Road, Conway, SC. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside.
