Lola Aleta Bragg-Gerchak

Lola Aleta Bragg-Gerchak, 75, passed away peacefully Saturday June 27, 2026, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Formerly of Murrells Inlet, SC, Lola was born in Lynch Station, Virginia, the daughter of the late Edith Reynolds and Travis Bragg.

Lola enjoyed cutting hair, cooking for her family and friends, completing puzzles, watching 

General Hospital, dancing, listening to music and playing games. She retired from JCPenney after several years of service.

In addition to her parents, Lola is preceded in death by her sisters, Kathy Nuckols and Pat Bragg, and her brothers, Travis Lee Bragg and Bobby Nuckols. 

Lola leaves behind a loving husband, David Gerchak, Murrells Inlet, SC; two children, Angel Withrow Murrells Inlet, SC and Steven Bomar, Denham Springs, LA; 4 step daughters, Barbie Smith, Bishopville, SC; Sherie Gerchak, Murrells Inlet, SC; April Mahaffey, Murrells Inlet, SC; Shelly Goodfellow, Ohio; sister, Jane Bragg and many grandchildren, other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Lola’s Life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday July 9, 2026, at Burrough Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, SC.
