Linda Rice Woods

Linda Rice Woods, 82 of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of Southington, CT, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. She was born February 4, 1944, in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late, Oscar Rice and Clarissa Goranson Rice.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Billy” Woods.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Cathy Woods; son, Scott Wilson and his wife Heather; daughters, Deborah Blaschke and her husband, Jeff and Lisa Schafer and her husband, Chris; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Linda owned and operated alongside her close friend, Karen Moeller a small embroidery business. She loved going on cruises, and above all she enjoyed being with her family and friends.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held 1:00pm July 9th, 2026, at Surfside United Methodist Church, 800 13th Ave. North, Surfside Beach, SC 29575. A reception will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made in Linda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org
