Linda Slagsvold

Linda Slagsvold, 73, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Blue Ridge Healthcare in Georgetown. She was born May 25, 1947 in Conway, SC daughter of the late James Mew and Odessa Height Mew.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Cockrell, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele Slagsvold Cockrell; brothers, Danny Mew and his wife Deanna, Frank Mew and Richard Mew and his wife Peggy; granddaughter, Kristen Campbell and her husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Laila Preece, Micah Campbell, Zane Campbell and Bentley Rich.

Linda was raised in Socastee where she attended and graduated from Socastee High School. She went on to graduate and receive her associated degree from Rhema Bible College.

She worked as an executive secretary at CCU before working and retiring from Caravelle Hotels also as an executive secretary.

Linda was a Godly woman. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching Hallmark movies and had an exclusive and extensive collection of leaves and rocks. Most of all she loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00pm Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
