Linda A. Messinger

Linda A. Messinger, 76, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer, on Saturday September 24, 2022. She was born in Washington, DC to the late Chester Alan Baker & Mildred Dixon Baker.
Linda had a heart of gold and a zest for life. She was the best Grandmommy & “GiGi,” to her grandchildren and great-grandbabies. For many years, Linda and her family vacationed in North Myrtle Beach to enjoy the beautiful area beaches. George and Linda retired here in 2005. Her favorite hobby was collecting antiques. She was the president of the local antique club, South Strand Antique Arts Association as well as the Myrtle Beach Newcomers Club. Linda loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her quick wit, bright smile and the love she had for her family.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her adoring husband, with whom they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 28, Mr. George E. Messinger of Murrells Inlet; their children, Laurie Deadrick and husband, Michael of Richmond, VA, Scott Messinger and wife, Jennifer of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Lindsay Marshall (Brad), Heather Hoover (Ben) & Ryan Messinger; great-grandchildren, Everley, Weston, & Charleigh; her beloved fur baby, Rusty; and many supportive friends and neighbors.
The family will gather at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576, to greet friends on Friday October 21, 2022 at 10:30 AM.
