Leon Harold Roberts

Leon Harold Roberts, 89, of Murrells Inlet, passed away peacefully Friday May 20, 2022.

Born in Marion, SC, Harold was the son of the late Enos Roland Roberts and Sallie Highfill Roberts.  A proud US Army veteran, Harold served during the Korean War and in the National Guard.  A member of Marion Baptist Church, he retired from Stone Container Paper Mill.  In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, John R., Henry, Wayne, Clarence, Charles, Glenn, Marion and Frank and by his sister, Ava Werner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Roberts, Murrells Inlet; son, Ryan (Buffy) Roberts, Murrells Inlet; daughter, Rhonda Roberts, Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Sara (Bill) Thatcher and Madison Roberts.

A Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 28, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet with military honors.
