Larry Wheeler Short

Lawrence “Larry” W. Short, 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC, a devoted husband and father, entered the presence of the Lord on December 26, 2025. Larry was born on August 10, 1949, in Niagara Falls, NY, to Lester F. Short and May W. Short.

 Larry is survived by his wife, Lilly M. Short, daughter Lori A. Short, and son Eric “Rick” L Short (Stacey Short). His grandchildren are Garrett, Amber, Austin, and Lana, and his great-grandchildren are Ryder, Kohl, and Journee.

In his free time, Larry loved spending time with family, boating, camping, golfing, and playing billiards. As the owner of L.W. Short Insurance Agency, he was passionate about making everyone feel welcome and building relationships with customers, forming many friendships. Larry’s legacy will continue through his family. Above all, he cherished time spent with family and friends. Larry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

The family will honor Larry’s memory privately.
