Kylee Ann Gouger, 32, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Kylee was born on March 12, 1993 in Daytona Beach Florida, to Peter Gouger and Darlene (Doucette) Smith.
A native to Keene, New Hampshire, Kylee moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 2012 where she lived a fulfilling life until her passing. Kylee was known for connecting others. She had a vibrant personality, a contagious laugh, beaming smile, and a heart that made anyone an instant friend. Kylee was a beloved daughter and sister, a treasured friend, and a caring aunt.
An employee at Myrtlewood Golf Club, Kylee could be found on the course during her shifts, making friends and connecting with the golfers. In her free time, Kylee was passionate about her health and fitness, traveling, and her friends and family. Kylee was also a nanny for several of her friends and took care of children regularly. It was her greatest hope to become a mother some day.
For 12 years, Kylee hardly went anywhere without her dog, Kona, after she rescued her from the Horry County Animal Care Center in Conway, South Carolina. They enjoyed being outside and going to the beach together.
Kylee is survived by her mother, Darlene Smith; father, Peter Gouger and stepmother, Heidi Gouger; sisters, Courtney Gouger, Taryn Bettez, Tiffany Johnston, and Taylor Smith; brothers, Tucker Bettez and Daniel Smith; as well as her adoring girlfriend, Alyssa Carlsen; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and an army of friends.
She is predeceased by her stepfather Adam Smith, and several grandmothers and grandfathers.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kylee’s name may be made to the Horry County Animal Care Center in Conway, SC.
A celebration of life will be held in both Myrtle Beach, SC, and Keene, NH. Details will be released by the family at a later date.
