Kevin O'Neal Mercer

Kevin O’Neal Mercer, 39, of Georgetown, SC, died on Friday, November 18, 2022. He was born in Georgetown, SC to Darrell Keith Mercer and Barbara Fidler Mercer MacBay.

Kevin was a welder by trade and in his spare time he enjoyed listening to music, grilling, fishing and boating on the river.  He was an avid fan of Clemson football. More than anything, Kevin loved spending time with his family.

Kevin is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Mercer; one aunt, Beverly Kirby; one uncle Richard Mercer and one cousin, Ellis Mercer.

Survivors include his parents, Darell Keith (Rebekah) Mercer and Barbara Fidler Mercer (Gordon) MacBay;  Children, Alyssa Kay (John) Nesbitt, Dalton Richard Howell-Mercer, Cody O’Neal Mercer, Hailey Elizabeth Mercer, Logan Ryan Mercer, Kelsie Erin Grace Mercer, Kevin Mason Mercer, Case Alexander Mercer, Lacy Ann Mercer; Brother, Ryan Keith (Andrea) Mercer; sisters, Danielle Nicole (Shawn) MacBay, Jessica Amanda (Thomas) MacBay; grandson, Hudson James Davis; grandparents Patsy Pappas and Donald Mercer along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Berkley County First Responders.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family requests that everyone dress comfortably and wear a Clemson shirt as Kevin would love that.
