Kelsey Nichole McGhee, 19, of Conway, SC passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020. She was born July 01, 2000 in Myrtle Beach, SC and is the daughter of David Eric McGhee and Cynthia Douglas McGhee.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Wanda Williams Douglas; and her uncle Peck Garner.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her Sister, Caroline McGhee of Conway; Brother, Carter McGhee of Conway; Maternal grandparents, Charles and Heidi Douglas of Georgetown; Paternal grandparents David and Judith McGhee of Mercer, PA; Aunts, Tracy, Melissa, Sonya, Niki and Tina; Uncles, Paul and Danny; Cousins, Garrett, Ashley, Kaley, Karl, Amanda, Sarah, Joe, Michael and David; and her boyfriend, Jackson Denny.
Kelsey always knew how she wanted to spend her life. With her artistic talent Kelsey wanted to design and build homes as well as do remodeling projects. She was one of twenty accepted into Savannah College of Arts and Design following her high school graduation. Kelsey’s love of the outdoors and design then led her to Clemson University, where she was studying Construction Science and Architecture. While attending Clemson, she worked with the homecoming committee designing and building floats and found a love in working with Habitat for Humanity.
A celebration of Kelsey’s life will be held 2:00pm Monday, May 25, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 with Trey Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
