Kathleen Mary Brady Catania

Kathleen Mary Brady Catania, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was born on October 11, 1946, in Bronx, NY to the late Frank and Elizabeth Brady. The second of three daughters, she met the love of her life, Vincent Catania when they were both young teenagers and together, they raised their family of three sons in New Windsor, NY. In 1998, Kathy and Vinnie moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where they lived for several years until ultimately moving to Myrtle Beach, SC to be closer to one of their sons. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother “Amma,” aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. She loved to clean, decorate, cook, shop, and above all, spend time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren lit up her life and she was so proud of all of their achievements. She had a heart of gold and will be remembered by her kindness, love, laughter, and smile.

Kathy is survived by her beloved spouse Vincent James Catania, her children, Vincent (Kristine) of Fond du Lac, WI; Thomas (Debbie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Michael (Sarah) of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren, Jenna, Jamie, Connor, Brady, Tyler, MacKenzie, Kaiden, and Madison; sisters, Constance Alfieri of Naples, FL, and Jayne Hartnett (John) of Mt. Dora, FL, and also many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Brady; her father and mother-in-law, Salvatore and Antoinette Catania; and her brother and sister-in law, Frank and Sally Clinton.

A funeral service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 3, 2023, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, SC. A reception will follow at 12:00 PM at the Waterway Palms Plantation Clubhouse.
