Katherine Mary (Zaine) Fanelli, 94 of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023. Kitty was born in Hartford Ct. to the late Mary (Villano) Zaine. She was known for her prayer lists and praying multiple rosaries a day for anyone who was sick.
She met her husband Anthony (Tony) Fanelli at a dance and it was love at first sight. They were married 56 years until his passing in 2006.
Kitty loved spending weekends with her sister Rose and their families. They both loved the "Yankees" and shopping. She enjoyed baking cookies for her family and friends during the Christmas season.
After many years working at The Wiremold Company she retired. After retirement she attended Mass every day and was one of the "West Farm Mall walkers" and had a great time meeting with her friends for coffee afterward.
Kitty was predeceased by husband Anthony T. Fanelli; brothers: John (Eulaine) Zaine Windsor Locks, CT, Anthony (Emma) Zaine Windsor Locks, CT; & sister: Rose Huntington Broad Brook, CT
Kitty is survived by her son Alan (Carol Kamm) Fanelli, East Lyme, CT and her daughter Sandra (Samuel) Cannone Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Cynthia Toothman (Tom) Loxahatchee, FL, Brian (Michele) Cannone, Boswell PA, & Lisa Cannone, St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren, Jaydon Cannone, Josh Justin & Jacob Toothman; also numerous nieces and nephews in CT, NY, FL & WA.
The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers at The Palmetto's in Murrells Inlet SC.
A Prayer Service will be held at1:00PM on Friday September 15, 2023 at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Burial will immediately follow within Rose Hill Cemetery.
