Katherine "Kathy" Price Simerson

“Katherine “Kathy” Price Simerson, 68, of Pawleys Island, SC, entered her heavenly home on August 30, 2025. She was born June 14, 1957, in Columbia, SC, to the late Roy Price and Evelyn Hammond Price.

Kathy lived a life marked by her generous heart, positive spirit, and unwavering love for Christ. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her every step and leaving an enduring impact on all who knew her.

In her early years, Kathy worked as a teller at Andrews Bank and Trust before moving into the role that brought her the greatest joy—teaching children. She dedicated many years to preschool education, shaping countless little lives with patience, kindness, and joy. Beyond her career, Kathy cherished simple pleasures: walks along the beach, sharing sweet treats, and, most of all, being surrounded by her beloved family.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Carl Simerson; and her three children, Keith Spires (Devon), Chase Simerson, and Anna Pearce (Jacob). Kathy’s greatest treasures were her grandchildren: Blaze, Campton, Asher, Crawford, Crew, Clayton Anne, Louisa, Shepherd, and a granddaughter due any day. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters and best friends, Susan Culberson (Henry), Patricia Ashmore (Robin), and Pam Wellman (Steve).

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. The family looks forward to honor Kathy’s life and rejoice in the faith she held so dear.”
