Karen "Trixie" Ann Davis

Karen Ann Davis, 79, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 20, 1946, in Irvington, New Jersey, daughter of the late John Kluge and Marie Burke Kluge.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Kluge.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Robert Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC; two daughters, Katie Landsman and her husband, David of Acworth, GA and Megan Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, John Patrick Landsman, Matthew Landsman, and Noah Landsman; and a niece, Amy Miller of Felton, DE.

Karen proudly served in the United States Navy and enjoyed her time stationed in Washington, DC. She worked many jobs over the years before settling in the undersea cable division at AT&T. As part of her role she was able to travel and experience much of the world. From exploring Rio, to museum hopping in Paris, to riding a camel in Egypt, Karen dove right into the cultures of the places she went.

She was a very active member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she worked to help improve the lives of others. Karen enjoyed spending time cooking and was known for her famous deviled eggs. She looked forward to annual beach trips to Hilton Head with her beloved grandsons as well as many family vacations to Disney World. In her downtime, she could often be found reading a cozy mystery. On Thursdays, Karen could be found playing trivia with friends at the local Moose Lodge where she was a member. Her warm heart and caring soul will be missed by so many.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30am Saturday, January 24, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Garden City, SC 29576.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made in Karen’s name to St. Michael Catholic Church or to Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach, 1411 Mr. Joe White Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
