John Lewis Hyman, of Pawleys Island South Carolina, formerly of Florence, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born September 8, 1945, in Florence, SC, son of the late Mid and Virginia Hyman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Lollis.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie Hyman of Pawleys Island, SC; son, Imran Hyman of Reno, NV; daughter, Beth Parnell of Clover, SC; brother, Reuben Hyman of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother-in-law, Rick Lollis of Crestview, FL; two granddaughters, Kennedy Parnell of Charlotte, NC and Brianna Hyman of Reno, NV; two grandsons, Jackson Parnell of Clover, SC and Brett Hyman of Reno, NV; a niece, Michelle Lollis of Sacramento, CA; nephew, Michael Lollis of Crestview, CA; as well as multiple cherished cousins.
John enjoyed many things in life, especially spending time, fishing, boating, or camping. Above all he enjoyed his time spent with family and friends.
There is no formal service planned, but a celebration of life to be determined later for local friends and family.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in John’s name to your local animal shelter/rescue of choice.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire ICU medical team of Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
