John F. Barclay 74, of Surfside Beach SC, formerly of Rockland MA. Passed away on Monday October 6, 2025, with his wife by his side.

John “Jack” Barclay was born on October 25, 1950, in Boston MA to the late Herbert Barclay and Margaret Walsh Barclay. He is also preceded in death by his brother Herbert Barclay and his wife Anne Barclay and his brother-in-law Anthony Colacchio.

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Tracy Barclay of Surfside Beach, SC; Daughters Melissa Barclay of Hudson, NH, Jennifer Barclay of Hull, MA; Sons George Barclay (Katie) of Hull, MA, Nicholas Barclay of Conway, SC, John Barclay of Conway, SC, and Daniel Barclay of Surfside Beach, SC; Grandchildren Dustin, Nora and Amelia; Sister Mary Colacchio of Falmouth MA; Brother James Barclay (Maria) of Houston TX. Along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jack will be truly missed by his beloved family and friends.

Jack had a real love of being on the water “fishing” on his boat. He also enjoyed looking for and collecting antiques. Jack is a United State Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam war. His gift of gab made it easy for him to excel in his career in HR with companies including Caldor, Kmart and PetSmart and he could always strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Jack was truly passionate about doing service work and being a friend of Bill’s.

A Mass of Christian Burial is Scheduled for Thursday October 16, 2025, at 10am at St. Michael Catholic Church 542 Cypress Ave Murrells Inlet, 29576. With interment following in the church columbarium.
