Joe Meriwether Obituary

Joe Earl Meriwether, 79, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. He was born June 13, 1941 in Guthrie, KY son of the late Ellis W. Meriwether and Laura Bell Killabrew Meriwether.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Daisy Bonnafon.

Survivors include his wife Marie Meriwether of Surfside Beach; two sons, Robert Meriwether of Kokomo, IN and Joe Meriwether and his wife Krista of Conway, SC; one daughter, Gawana Meriwether of Kokomo, IN; six sisters, Dorothy Stevenson and Edna Meriwether both of Kokomo, IN, April Neal, Elaine Lawson, Darlene Nevels and Carlett Rogers; one brother, Ellis Meriwether; and one grandson, Joe Earl Meriwether, III.

Joe was a retired chef for Sands Ocean Club.

Funeral services will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
