JoAnn (Resetarits) Pyle

JoAnn Pyle, 76, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday January 1, 2026 at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on July 1, 1949 in Buffalo, New York to the late William & Cecila Parker Resetarits.

During her working years and while in the north, JoAnn was a caring and skilled labor and delivery nurse for many years. Her compassion and drive to help mothers in need, made her level of care sought after. In her personal life, JoAnn took pride in being the best mom she could be! She worked tirelessly to ensure her family was well taken care of. Following her well-deserved retirement and relocation to Myrtle Beach, JoAnn was able to enjoy the more exciting parts of life. She loved to travel and had a group of friends she saw the world with and with whom she found peace in. She was a proud member of the Moose Lodge where she was the life of the party and proudly sat as a past Sr. Regent Woman of the Moose. JoAnn will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her quick wit, bright smile and the love she had for her family.

Left to cherish JoAnn’s memory are her adoring husband with whom they would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this coming August, Mr. Robert “Bob” Pyle of Myrtle Beach; their daughters, Nicole Shelton of Myrtle Beach & Kristin Fickett and her husband, Shawn of Maryville, TN; her adoring grandchildren, Zachary Shelton, Paige Shelton, Zelotus Fickett & Atz Fickett; brother, David Resetarits and wife, Norma of Buffalo, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a large loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 on Saturday January 10, 2026 at 1PM. The family will gather to greet friends from 12pm until the time of service.
