Jessie S. Lilly

Jessie S. Lilly, 74, gained her wings after spending Easter Sunday with her loving family. She passed peacefully on Monday April 5, 2021 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 21, 1947 in Florence, South Carolina to the late George Harold Patrick & Bessie Collins Patrick.

Along with her parents, Jessie is reunited in passing with her brothers, Jesse, Jr., Frank, Edward, Randolph, Billy & Bobby Scott; as well as her step-sister, Patricia Baldwin.

Jessie was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold. She worked within the restaurant industry, where her smile and warm demeanor welcomed hungry patrons for many years. In her free time, Jessie relished time spent tending to her garden but most importantly, Jessie loved being with her family, whom she loved with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Jessie’s memory are her adoring husband, Mr. Ronald Randolph Lilly of Murrells Inlet; daughters, Charlene Motley and her husband, Jimmy of Murrells Inlet & Tonya Hodge and her husband, Sam of Murrells Inlet; son, Pepper Lilly and his wife, Candy of Murrells Inlet; her adoring grandchildren, Chet Floyd, Caroline Floyd, Katherine Hodge Anna Hodge, Thomas Hodge, Kayla Hodge, Trey Lilly, Kayla (Eric) Perry, Austin Lilly, Weston Lilly; nine great-grandchildren; step-sisters, Mary Jane Duke and her husband, Skip of Myrtle Beach & Sue Price of Myrtle Beach; a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

The family will gather to greet friends on Wednesday April 7, 2021 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

The family will also gather to greet friends at 2:00PM on Thursday April 8, 2021 at Murrells Inlet, Baptist Church, 3897 US 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 where a funeral service will be held at 3:00PM and burial will immediately follow within Belin UMC Church Cemetery, Hwy 17 Bus. Murrells Inlet, SC.
