Jessica Jane Hayes

Jessica Jane Hayes, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on December 14, 1984, in Myrtle Beach, and was the beloved daughter of Jimmy Hayes and Ann Roberts Hayes of Murrells Inlet.

Jessica was a bright and beautiful soul whose sparkling personality naturally drew people to her. Her warm smile and kind spirit could light even the darkest room. Ambitious and driven from an early age, she graduated high school ahead of schedule and went on to build a successful career as a respected and resourceful office manager.

Jessica embraced life fully and found joy in every season of it. In her younger years, she proudly rode horses with Dixie Stampede, combining her adventurous spirit with her lifelong love of animals. That compassion and caring nature remained with her throughout her life. She possessed a true servant’s heart and was a faithful member of Christ Church ACNA in Murrells Inlet.

More than anything, Jessica treasured the time she spent with family and close friends, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, especially her daughter, who was truly her greatest joy and best friend. Jessica’s presence brought comfort, strength, and happiness to so many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Jimmy and Ann Hayes of Murrells Inlet, Jessica leaves behind her beloved daughter and best friend, Harley Hayes Cooley; her brother, Chad Hayes of Myrtle Beach; her nieces, Emma and Ella; her nephew, Everett; several cousins; a large and loving extended family, along with countless dear friends who became family through the years.

Jessica is reunited in passing with her paternal grandparents, Harriet & James Hayes and paternal grandparents, Oral & Barbara Roberts.

A Celebration of Jessica’s life will be held at on Saturday May 30, 2026 at 2pm, at Christ Church ACNA, 310 Prince Creek Pkwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576, with Father Timothy Gerald Melton, officiating. The family will gather to greet friends following the service.

At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Jessica’s name may be made to the church at the address listed above. Christ Church had kindly set up a fund to assist Harley with future life expenses.
