Jeffrey P. Szirmae

Jeffrey P. Szirmae, 72, passed away unexpectedly but with his adoring wife by his side on Friday April 24, 2026 while at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on April 2, 1954 in Waco, Texas to the late Albert Szirmae & Gloria June Lyden Szirmae.

Along with his parents, Jeff is reunited in passing with his daughter, Brandy Snyder.

Jeff was a hardworking man with a heart of gold and an eye for detail. He worked in several different trades over the years but was most proud of his time spent as a carrier and adjuster for numerous law firms, where he enjoyed looking up property titles and following leads. In his free time, Jeff was an avid bass player! He picked up the instrument at age 10 and never put it down. With Jeff’s strong faith in the Lord and this musical gift, he found home at Ekklesia Christian Church in Conway where he played on the praise team, impacted many lives and made life-long friends. Jeff was also a skilled automotive mechanic with a life-time of experience. Above all else, Jeff loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Jeff’s memory are his adoring wife of over 41 years- they would have celebrated 42 in May of this year, Mrs. Mary G. Snyder Szirmae of Myrtle Beach; son, Frank Snyder; the apple of his eye, his grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Desirae "Desi" & Jordan; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Funeral Service for Jeff will be held on Monday May 4, 2026 at 2pm at Ekklesia Christian Church, 2469 US-501, Conway, SC 29526. The family will gather at the church to greet friends from 1pm until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow with procession to Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery, 2408 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Jeff’s name. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the church at the address listed above.
