Jeanette Kennedy Dozier

Jeanette Kennedy Dozier, 79, of Florence, South Carolina passed away on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.

Jean was born October 5, 1945, in Florence, SC, the daughter of Frances and Abbey Kennedy. She worked in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 25 years at the Florence General Hospital and Heritage Nursing Home. She loved shopping, cookouts, building campfires, fishing, her dogs, and spending time with her family. Above all, her love for her great grandchildren outshined everything.

Remaining to cherish her memory are children, Susan Broach and Billy Courtney; grandchildren, Johnathan (Brooke) Broach, Jason (Robin) Broach, Justin (Allyson) Broach, Quinn Courtney, and Jonah Clarke; great-grandchildren, Laney, Walker, June, Harrison, Wyatt, Gunner, and Bentley; sister, Patsy McDowell; nieces and nephews, Brad (Liza) McDowell and Michelle McDowell.

Preceding her in death are spouse, William Arthur Courtney; son, William Mark Courtney; and eleven siblings. 

Funeral services will be private.
