Jayden James Ford, 18, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at MUSC in Charleston, SC. He was born November 15, 2007, a son of Kimberly Kay Ford of Myrtle Beach, SC and Allen James Ford of Conway, SC.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Catherine and Gerald Depp.
Jayden Ford was a vibrant soul whose light touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Known for his contagious smile and warm heart, Jayden was truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He lived his life with passion, creativity, and deep love for those around him.
Jayden found joy in the things that made him uniquely him. He loved spending time at Game Bunker, diving into the worlds of Pokémon, and anime. He was always excited to attend ComiCon gatherings, where he could fully embrace the characters and stories that inspired him. Those moments brought him happiness and a sense of community.
A gifted creative spirit, Jayden enjoyed making music beats and writing raps, proudly calling himself a lyricist. Music was more than a hobby—it was his outlet, his voice, and his art. He poured his thoughts, dreams, and emotions into every rhythm and rhyme.
Jayden also loved the simple joys of life—going bowling, spending time laughing with friends, and cherishing moments with his family. He deeply loved his family and held close the bonds that meant the most to him. He embraced life fully, loving freely and wholeheartedly.
Jayden’s legacy is one of kindness, creativity, laughter, and love. His presence brought warmth to every room, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his loving parents, Jayden is survived by his younger brother, Liam Ford of Myrtle Beach; Uncle, Kurtis Kuhn and his wife, Ashley of Murrells Inlet, SC; aunts, Kristin Winters and her husband, Justin of McSherrystown, PA, Kelly Ford of Hanover, PA and Sarah Flynn of Altoona, PA; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Maureen Kuhn of Murrells Inlet, SC.
A celebration of Jayden’s life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6:00-8:00pm at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Jayden’s name to the Epilepsy Foundation of South Carolina or the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Charleston.
