Janice D. Lubin

Janice “Jan” D. Lubin, 82, of Murrells Inlet, SC—formerly of Asheville, NC; Hickory, NC; and Miami, FL—passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, after a long illness. She was born on January 11, 1943, in Miami, Florida, to Albert A. Deeble, Jr. and Patricia A. Deeble.

A proud graduate of Miami High, Jan devoted many years as the longtime secretary of Sunset Congregational Church in Miami, FL. She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for family and friends. Her passions included travel, Disney adventures, and all things The Wizard of Oz.

Jan was a devoted member of Surfside Methodist Church in Surfside, SC, where her faith and fellowship brought her great comfort and joy.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Martin L. Lubin of Murrells Inlet, SC; son Brian Lubin and his wife Cindy Lubin of Blacksburg, VA; daughter Brenda Linduski and her husband Ray Linduski of Murrells Inlet, SC; and two cherished granddaughters, Logan Segal and Madden Segal of Murrells Inlet, SC; long time caretaker Danielle Byrne of Myrtle Beach, SC.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3358 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org .

Jan’s warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
