James C. Warrick

James C. Warrick, 84 of Pawleys Island SC, passed peacefully on March 31, 2023. He was a graduate of Bangor HS, Bangor, PA; Rider University (B.S. in Commerce); Seton Hall University (MBA in Commerce). He served in the U.S. Navy for 31 years active and reserve, attaining the rank of Captain. He was an Executive Officer with United Virginia Bank/Crestar as a Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Controller.

For 14 years he was the co-owner, manager, and operating officer of the Hammock Shops complex in Pawleys Island.

He volunteered his service to the United Way in Richmond, VA for over 20 years.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Diane Higham Warrick. Survived by his sons Scott and wife Joelle (Murrells Inlet, SC) and John (Midlothian, VA), 5 grandchildren - Joshua (Los Angeles, CA) and Brandon Nash (Roanoke, VA), Colleen and Matthew Warrick (Murrells Inlet, SC) and Craig Warrick (Midlothian, VA), and several nieces and nephews from his 5 siblings.

Jim very much enjoyed traveling, swimming, and snow skiing with Diane. He also loved his dogs and could be seen taking them on the beach or for a ride in their golf cart.

A private celebration of his life will be held with the family at a later time.
